Estate Planning Process
Fill Out a Questionnaire
The first step is for you to fill out a questionnaire to provide details about your beneficiaries, trustees, asset division, names of individuals on your Power of Attorney, guardian for your minor children, etc.
Drafting Your Estate Plan (2-3 Weeks)
Once we receive your questionnaire, we will begin drafting your estate plan. It includes over 130 pages of documents and instructions that takes a couple of weeks to complete. We may schedule a follow-up call to clarify or confirm some details on your questionnaire. At this time, you do not need to do anything else except waiting for us to reach out to you.
In-Person Review & Trust Signing Ceremony
Our office will schedule an in-person meeting with you where the attorney will walk you through relevant provisions of your estate plan. We will have a mobile notary onsite to perform notary for you. Your trust and estate plan are now finalized. Our office will provide specific instructions on funding your trust (if applicable)
Receive Your Fully Notarized Estate Plan
You will receive a leather binder with all documents signed and notarized. We will scan your documents for you and provide you with a thumb drive that contains your electronic estate plan, all stored in the same binder. Our office records your real property into your trust and an original, recorded grant deed will be mailed to you from the County where the property is situated.
